Title: Phineas Gage

Author: John Fleischman

Genre: Non- Fiction

Phineas Gage is a railroad worker, over 150 years ago he had a terrible head injury. While working as a foreman he works with explosives which caused his bad injury. Despite his horrible injury he shared a very great story. After his terrible injury he lived and traveled the world. His story changed the way scientist, doctors, and people look and gather information of the brain.

The author of Phineas Gage thought that Phineas was lucky. I agree with the author because he could of damaged his brain more than he did. People think that he was unlucky because he got a rod shot through his head. I think he is lucky because he lived and unlucky because he got that bad injury.

I did not like this book because they used big medical words. Also I didn’t like it because it got boring with all the information on the brain. At the beginning of the book it was more interesting with what he did and how he did it. I would recommend this book to young collage people wanting to be doctors, scientist, and even railroad workers. I give this book a rating of one because it has a lot of info on the brain.
